Greg’s Story
Sugar- The number one recreational drug in the United States that is completely legal. I know from personal experience it gives you a tremendous high, when you first consume it, then it drops you. When I say it drops you, I mean it!!! It was nothing for me to go to the snack machine at work, get three sugar bombs, as I call them, consume them, then get brain fog. Through Kathryn’s research, I learned that I have to watch my sugar intake and I can feel the difference and tell you, lucidity rocks!!! Thank you Kathryn for fixing my clouded, broken mind.
White Carbs-Butter and white rice used to be two of my best friends. Come to find out from Kathryn, the white rice was not my friend. It would make me feel good for awhile, then put me to sleep to the point where I didn’t know my name when I woke up. Kathryn told me I have to eat a protien with the white rice, or brown rice because it has fiber, so that’s what I did and I was able to stay conscious and lucid. Thank you again Kathryn.
Eat it now, taste it later– Remember this from school? K-12 and college? Thirty minutes to eat and get black to class? Going to the dining hall, studying till you pass out, then wake up to discover you still have 300 pages to read before dawn? I was stuck on this treadmill for years after college and it took Kathryn’s research to teach me, “College is over. You can enjoy, chew and swallow your food now.” I tried the 20-minute challenge one morning at breakfast with her. The exercise has you set a timer for 20 minutes, but it trains you to savor your food, chew it and enjoy it. It was fantastic!!! I realized that I have nowhere to be and no assignment deadline to meet. I can enjoy, taste and swallow my food again. Try the experiment, if you dare. You’ll be glad you did. I want to begin by saying that I am not writing this because Kathryn is my wife. I am writing this because of the difference her journey to become a health coach has made on my life, through the knowledge I have gained from her endless hours of research. A friend referred me to Kathryn. I spent about four months with her, discussing health issues. I’m so thankful to have committed to having Kathryn as my health coach! She is passionate about her coaching, and she is determined to guide her clients to a healthier lifestyle. I reached out to Kathryn after seeing a picture of her in a N.Y. Mets shirt, she stated she weighed 194lbs and it reminded me of myself. My highest weight was 199 lbs. at 5 feet. I was so uncomfortable with myself and dreaded leaving my home. After losing 25 lbs. from working with Kathryn, I feel better about going out and being around others and more importantly I am healthier. My family and friends notice my mood is better and I’m happier. Before I started working with Kathryn, no matter how many hours I slept I was always felt tired. My pets enjoy more quality time with a energized owner. Kathryn’s knowledge of nutrition enables her to treat each client individually.
